Position: Lead Designer/Character Artist and Animator
Created by a small team at the University of Advancing Technology, Aquaphobia: Mutant Brain Sponge Madness was developed for the 2009 Dream Build Play competition. Since then, the game has evolved and was then submitted to 2011 IGF Student Submission.
The game follows the exploits of Gibby, a mutated brain sponge (sp. Geodia Gibberosa), that has gained sentience and mobility as a result of unorthodox experiments by Dr. Jack Harbor, a brilliant, but deranged scientist with expertise in neuroscience, genetics, and marine biology who enjoys testing Gibby by placing him in hazardous aquatic tanks.
A 2D side-scroller, the game makes heavy use of puzzles, platforming, timing elements, and combat.
